Edwin Yaremco

It is with great sadness that the family of Edwin “Ed” Yaremco announces his passing on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at the age of 92 years and 1 month. Born with his three brothers in Maughan, AB, he moved to Edmonton and spent the remainder of his life here. He was independent to the end and left us from his own home which he loved. We are blessed that he went peacefully. Edwin was a war veteran, volunteered with the Friends of the Ukrainian Village Society and was a member and former President of the Norwood Legion. He attended St. Josaphat Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral. Edwin is survived by his daughter, Teresa (Gabriel) Adam, granddaughter, Natalie (Kyle) Pilatzke, granddaughter, Valerie Adam and grandson, Christopher Adam; son, Michael (Sheryl) Yaremco, grandson, Travis Yaremco, granddaughter, Elyse Yaremco and grandson, Ethan (fiancée Tala Wardrope) Yaremco; great-grandchildren, Carter Pilatzke, Claire Pilatzke and Sylvia Pilatzke; his special friend, Lorraine Obnoski; and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his loving wife, Frances Hrabets Yaremco; brothers, Peter and Ted Jaremco; and his parents, William and Mary Jaremco. Divine Liturgy Tuesday, December 6 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Josaphat Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral, 10825 – 97 Street, Edmonton. Cathedral Clergy officiating with interment in St. Michael’s Cemetery. In lieu of other tributes, donations may be made to the Genetic Aortic Disorders Association Canada, Centre Plaza Postal Outlet, 128 Queen Street South, P.O. Box 42257, Mississauga, ON L5M 4Z0.
