PEDERSEN Betty Lou Pedersen passed away peacefully at home in Olds on November 25, 2016 at the age of 72 years. Betty was born April 8, 1944 in Lethbridge to Darrel and Fern Cox. Before moving to Olds, Betty and her family lived in Rocky Mountain House. She met and married Keith Pedersen on August 25, 1962 and they made their home in Olds where she worked at numerous different jobs. She will be sadly missed and forever loved. Betty is survived by her 2 sons Rodney and Randy (Sarah); 2 grandchildren Matthew and Shelby; 4 sisters Marvell Joyal, Myrna Greer, Donna (Dave) Witwer, Shirley Cox, Joyce (Garry) Epp; brother-in-law Nelson Smith as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 52 years, Keith; parents Darrel (Hap) and Fern Cox; sister Delores Smith; brother Richard Cox; 3 brothers-in-law and 3 nephews. In keeping with Betty’s wishes, a private family gathering was held. In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made directly to the Alberta Cancer Foundation or the Alberta Heart & Stroke Foundation.
