KENNEDY Darlene “Nana” Kennedy was born on January 7, 1949 in New Westminster B.C. Nana passed away peacefully on January 11, 2017 at the Red Deer Hospital at the age of 68 years. In Nana's earlier years, she used to love to raise Chinese Pugs and also touching the lives of the many children who attended her day home. Over the last few years of Nana's life, she loved riding her scooter, being a social butterfly and spending precious time with those dearest to her heart. Nana was a loving mother to Dean Weaving and Wayne (Jodie) Kennedy; proud Nana to Micheal (Celeste) Boettger, Mark (Jessica) Boettger, Kayla Boettger, Maddy, Shyanne, Peyton, Nikki, Jaxon and Sam; sister to Gary (Debbie), Rita (Ken), Karen (Jim) of B.C.; chosen Canadian Nana to Artur and Shannon Pyzalski. She was predeceased by her loving husband Leonard Kennedy, sister Lana, daughter Diane, parents, grandparents and other dear family and friends. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at 11:00am at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #105, Olds. In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made directly to the Alberta Kidney Foundation.
