Darwin Spencer THE PAS, Manitoba Obituary

Darwin Spencer

Darwin was born Sunday, March 10, 1963 in Thompson Manitoba. He was the oldest son of Glenn and Margaret Spencer.  They lived in Thompson until 1973 when they moved to Margaret's family home at Herb Lake Landing. Darwin's childhood was spent swimming, dirt biking, climbing the rock at the “South End”, fishing in the summer and in the winter it was snowmobiling, ice fishing, cross country skiing, and playing hockey in Snow Lake.  After graduating high school Darwin went straight to work for HBM&S. He was still employed with them at the time of his passing.  He was hoping to recover from the stroke he suffered last October so he could work until retirement. Darwin was united in marriage to Margaret Fisher on June 30, 1984.  Darrell came the following year and Nicole was born in 1987. Darwin loved life and he lived it to the fullest!  Some of his pastimes included playing his guitar, shooting pool, golfing, curling, fishing and spending time with family and friends. Darwin passed away peacefully in his sleep at his home in Snow Lake, Manitoba, Saturday, October 29, 2016, at the age of 53 years. Surviving to mourn are his children Darrell and Nicole; grandchildren Lilian, Jaxon, Logan and Jordanna;  two brothers Bradley and Blaine (Sharon), aunts, uncles and many cousins.  Two very special people to Darwin are his best friend Dave Dittburner and Pam Sewchuck, whom he thought of as a step-daughter. Although Darwin and Margaret were divorced he thought of her and her family as his family still. Darwin was predeceased by both parents Glenn and Margaret Spencer; and by father-in-law Raymond Fisher.
