Lloyd Lavallee THE PAS, Manitoba Obituary

Lloyd Lavallee

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of my husband, our dad, our Choom, our Chapan, a brother, an uncle and a friend. Lloyd Lavallee Sr., passed away peacefully with his wife by his side on Thursday, November 3, 2016, at Easterville, Manitoba, at the age of 65 years. Lloyd was born Monday, January 29, 1951 at Cedar Lake, Manitoba. He was united in marriage to Nora Lavallee on October 19, 1970. They shared 46 wonderful years together and had seven children. Lloyd loved and cared for his wife very much. Lloyd took pride in raising and providing for his children and his wife Nora. Throughout the years Lloyd was either trapping in the winter or fishing in the summer and fall months. Over the years Lloyd learned many traits such as carpentry, electrical and mechanical work. All these traits were taught and passed down to all his sons. Lloyd also enjoyed going on hunting trips with his sons or his friends. For a number of years Lloyd was also the community's local Constable. For 29 years Lloyd was a commercial fisherman retiring in 2000. Lloyd was well known for his good sense of humour, everyone he met will remember his jokes and how he made them laugh. Lloyd had many friends, he made everyone who walked into his home feel very welcome, he will be missed by many. Lloyd had many grandchildren, he called all of them "Choomie". He loved to tell them stories and play his fiddle for all them. All his "Choomies" will miss him greatly. Lloyd knew how to play many instruments such as electric guitar, acoustic guitar, bass guitar, banjo, and his favorite instrument was the fiddle. Lloyd enjoyed playing and singing at church services and many people enjoyed listening to his music. Lloyd accomplished a lot, living life to the fullest. He was a wonderful man who will be missed by his family and friends.
