Melvin, Billy (Bumps) It is with great sadness that the family of Billy (Bumps) Melvin announce his sudden passing on Friday January 20, 2017 at the age of 59 years. Predeceased by his parents William (Bill) and Shirley Melvin, brother Kevin Melvin. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his best friend and partner Deanna King (CBS), his brother Dave (Donna) Melvin (Lamanche), sister Esther (Junior) Melvin (Brigus South), nieces Wendy, Lisa, Ashlyn, Courtney, Leah, and nephew Michael. Also a large number of other relatives and friends. Billy was a proud member of the Ironworkers local 764 union where he was a member for the past 41 years. He traveled across this country and throughout the province where he was job steward on many job sites he would always stand up for his brothers and sisters. He was a very proud union ironworker. Visitation in the James J. Hickey Memorial Funeral Home, Kelligrews on Wednesday from 7 pm – 9 pm, Thursday from 10 am – 9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, January 27, 2017 at 10:30 am from St. Edward’s Church, Kelligrews. Interment in St. Edward’s Cemetery, Kelligrews.
