STACEY Robert Mervyn (Merv) October 23, 1952 –October 29, 2016 Gone on his final ride, Robert Mervyn Stacey. Entrepreneur, Innkeeper Extraordinaire, Story Teller, Visionary, Biker, Brother, Father, Uncle, a loyal friend to many and a dedicated Buchaneer. Merv was larger than life and always saw the big picture, aimed high and usually succeeded. Through his battle this past 8 months in ICU, his health challenges and roller coaster ride he maintained his good spirit and never gave up. Merv loved his home town of Buchans and his heart never left there nor the Red Ochre Inn. Pre deceased by Father Willis Stacey and mother Myrtle (Hiscock) Stacey Left to mourn Merv’s soul mate Marylou Reid; brother Jerry (Jane) Stacey, sister Paula (Dennis) Flood, brother Peter (Donna) Stacey, sister Karen (Fred) Maloney, and sister Kelly Stacey; sons Liam Stacey, Joshua Stacey and daughter Paula Stacey, his many nieces and nephews and wide circle of family and friends. Visitation, Buchans United Church: Monday October 31st 7-10 pm Tuesday November 1st 10 am -12 noon, 1 p.m. - 4:30 p.m., 7 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, November 2nd at 2pm at the Buchans United Church. Interment will follow at Buchans Public Cemetery Flowers accepted or donations can be made to Buchans Pastoral Charge in his memory.
