Ursula Selma Hau

Passed away peacefully at Lakeside Homes, Gander on Sunday, December 25th, 2016, Ursula Hau (Nee-Grimm), age 90. Predeceased by her Mother Frieda Grimm, Father Martin Grimm, Germany and her Husband Karl Heinz Hau of Gander. Leaving to mourn with loving memories are her son Rainer (April) of Ontario, Daughter Susanne of Nova Scotia and her Daughter Christine (David) of Pennsylvania and her grandchildren Cameron and Jordan of Pennsylvania. Also survived by her sister Gertrude of Germany, Sister Erika and family of Brazil. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Martin's Anglican Chapel, Gander at 3:00 P.M. on Thursday, December 29th. No flowers by request. Donations in Ursula's memory may be made to the Lymphedema Association of Newfoundland and Labrador or to A Charity of One's Choice. Ursula Immigrated to Newfoundland in 1955 and resided in the St. John's area before settling in Gander. She was well known for her gardening expertise and many creative talents. Ursula spent many years as a volunteer, translating for German speaking travellers, working with the Canadian Cancer Society, creative wonderful Arts and crafts with the Air Cadets and Boys and Girls Club. Deepest appreciation to the staff at Lakeside Homes in Gander where she reside during the past year. Ursula was a special lady and will be missed by all.
