Nellie ‘Georgina’ Van Fleet July 25, 1928 ~ November 17, 2016 Our beautiful Georgina, a beloved mother to Rick (Laurie) and Steve (Gina), Grandmother to Nathan, Justin (Shari), Geoff (Monica), Aaren, Sierra and Sydney, Great-Grandmother to Skyla, Mike, Joe, George and Ella, sister to Noreen Wilson, sister-in-law to Don and Annette Van Fleet and beloved friend to many. Georgina has reunited with Bern, the love of her life for over 64 years of marriage. Georgina was a lifelong resident of Acton until moving to Lindsay after retirement and most recently resided in Guelph. She was a devoted parishioner of Knox Presbyterian Church in Acton and was a proud member of the ‘Daughters of Knox’. She worked at the Mason Knitting Company and after retirement, continued knitting many crafts. Family will receive friends at the MacKinnon Family Funeral Home, 55 Mill Street East, Acton, Ontario on Sunday, November 20, 2016 from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Monday, November 21, 2016 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the Knox Presbyterian Church, 44 Main Street North, Acton. An interment at Fairview Cemetery to follow. Remembrances to the C.N.I.B or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
