Passed away at the Maxville Manor, Maxville, Ontario on Thursday December 14, 2006. Ronald William Henry Davies, born in Wales, (W.W. II Veteran, Warrant Officer with the R.A.F., Retired Bell Canada employee of 38 years and a devoted Scout Master for 20 years) of Lancaster; formerly of Lachine, Quebec; age 87 years. Beloved husband of the late Jimina (Ina) Morgan Davies. Loving and devoted father of Brian (Gail) of Lachine, Quebec, Kenneth (Wanda) of Seeley’s Bay, Ontario and Mary (Thomas Casbourne) of Lachine, Quebec. Dear grandfather of Courtney and Todd, Christopher and Simon. Dear son of the late William Davies and the late Alice Wainwright. Dear brother of Gerald Davies of Wales. Predeceased by his sister Christine Williams. In keeping with Ronald’s wishes cremation will take place. A private graveside service will follow in the Maxville Cemetery at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, Memorial Donations to the Maxville Manor or the Alzheimer’s Society would be appreciated by the family. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of the Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 114 Main Street South, Alexandria, (1-613-525-2772). As a memorial to Ronald, a tree will be planted in Memory Woods. A tree grows - memories live.
