Joan Morgan

MORGAN, Joan Marie (nee Sopha) – Passed away peacefully with family by her side at the Belleville General Hospital on Monday, November 7th, 2016 at the age of 80. Daughter of the late William and Kathleen Sopha. Pre-deceased by her beloved husband of 63 years Samuel “Sam” D. Morgan (died Aug. 25th, 2016). Loving mother to Sam Jr. (Teresa) of Belleville, Suzanne (Reg) of Trenton, Diane (Bob) of Ameliasburg, Russell (Nancy) of Trenton, Joanne (Alan) of Peterborough and Delbert (Dena) also of Belleville. Lovingly remembered by her 13 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Joan is survived by her sister Doreen Smith (late Ronald), and brother William “Jim” Sopha (Elda). Pre-deceased by sister Dorothy Button (late Lawrence) and brother Ralph Sopha (Judy). Joan will be greatly missed by many nieces and nephews. Following cremation, friends are invited to call at the John R. Bush Funeral Home, 80 Highland Ave., Belleville (613) 968-5588 on Sunday, November 13th from 5-8p.m. Memorial service will be held in the chapel on Monday, November 14th, 2016 at 1:00p.m. Reverend Michael Rice officiating.
