George passed away peacefully with his family by his side at Brockville General Hospital, Garden Street Site on November 19, 2016 at the age of 84. Beloved husband of the late Beatrice (Ireland) Smith. Dear father of Tim (Barb) of Smiths Falls and Kevin (Carolyn) of Lyn. Also survived by his grandchildren Christina, Tyler (Tori), Brooke (Trevor), Brandy (Mike) and great grandchildren Jordan, Emma, Elisabeth, Joshawa Lavallee, Denali, and Dallas Herbison. Fondly remembered by his goddaughters Nancy Alcock and Heather Clow. He will be missed by brother in laws Gordon, Tom, Larry of Brockville and sister in laws Winona of Mallorytown and Elaine of Charleston Lake, several nieces and nephews and all his family and friends.

Predeceased by his parents Frederick and Lillian (Wild) Smith and brothers Donald and Lorne and sisters Gladys and Lorna.

Family and Friends are invited to a graveside service in memory of George to be held at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, 2451 County Road 15, Maitland on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at 11.30am.
