Alexander "Alec" Malatches

MALATCHES, Alec – Passed away peacefully at Lisaard House, Cambridge on Monday, November 28, 2016 at age 54. Dear son of Tom and Sophia Malatches. Cherished husband of Nicole (nee Hnatiuk); loving father of Jack and Grace. Dear brother of John (Leslie) Malatches, Leo Malatches and brother-in-law of Paul (Christine) Hnatiuk, and Jennifer (Brian) DeMille and uncle to Brock, Cole, Catherine, Ryan, Boe, Dylan, and Evan. The family extends their deepest appreciation to Dr. Chouinard and the nurses at Cambridge Memorial Hospital Medical Daycare and to the nurses and volunteers at Lisaard House for their extraordinary warmth and care. Alec’s family will welcome friends and family at Lounsbury Funeral Home, 1766 Franklin Blvd., Cambridge on Wednesday, November 30th from 2-4 and 6-9 pm. Funeral Service will be held at St. James Anglican Church, 520 Ellis Road, Cambridge on Thursday, December 1st at 11 am. Interment will follow at Parklawn Cemetery, Cambridge. Memorial donation in memory of Alec may be made to Lisaard House or the Canadian Cancer Society.
