HODGES, Edward (Ted) Albert – Ted was born on February 27th 1918 and passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 29th 2016 at Lisaard House in his 99th year. He was a veteran of the 2nd World War and served 4 years as a Leutenant. He was predeceased by his loving wife Irma (2013) of 72 years. Son of the late Gertrude and Tom Hodges. Beloved father of 3 sons, Jack (Janet), Bob (Gail) and David. Cherished grandfather of Cathy, Carolin, Michelle, Shawn and 8 great-grandchildren. Before his retirement Ted worked for Dominion Woollens and was a Superintendant at Barrdays in Cambridge. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing and hunting. In his younger years he played lacrosse and hockey. He enjoyed keeping his beautiful gardens. He will be sadly missed by his family. Visitation will take place at Lounsbury Funeral Home 1766 Franklin Boulevard, Cambridge, on Saturday, December 10, 2016 from 2pm – 4pm followed by a private burial at New Hope Cemetery at a later date. A very special thank you to all the staff at Lisaard House for all the love and care they gave to our father. Special thanks as well to Dr. Nori Frape. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Lisaard House would be greatly appreciated by the family.
