James Edwin Diamond On January 12, 2017, with his family at his side passed away peacefully at Cambridge Memorial Hospital in his 83rd year. Pre-deceased by his cherished first wife Dorothy (Hohmann), his sister Audrey Kuenzie (Howard) and brother Trevor (Donna). Jim is survived by his siblings Ross (Edna), Marilyn Robinson (Jackie pre-deceased) and Karen Levitt (Jim). Loving husband for the past 30 years, whom he cared for dearly, Faye (Faith Gall). He always said he was blessed twice with the two wonderful women he married. Dear father to Dr. Debora Diamond (Simon), Chris Diamond-Stewart (Ken), Ed (Carolin), David (Audrey), and Patty Diamond (Rob). Poppy had many grandchildren and will sadly be missed by Becky, Charlie, Alex, Cora, Ryan, Jamie, Emily, Carlee, Quinn, Jason, Jeffery, Kevin, Brent, and Leah. Great-grandchildren Tyler, Mason, Hana, Grace, Ryder, and Colton. Fondly remembered by Faye’s children Joanne Evans (Ross), Debbie Moore (Red), Tony Speckeen (Ghislaine), Ken Speckeen (Connie), Bill Speckeen (Sandra), Jeff Speckeen and all their children. Jim worked his entire career in the shoe business retiring from Cambridge Shoe. As a longtime member of the Royal Canadian Legion (Preston Branch 126), he often played euchre, cribbage and snooker. He also enjoyed playing and coaching baseball, gardening, and his trailer in Southampton. Special thanks to the 5B floor nursing staff and Dr. Russek for the compassionate comfort management provided. Celebration of Life for Jim will be held upstairs at the Preston Legion, Branch 126, on Saturday, January 21, 2017, from 1-4. As an expression of sympathy, donations can be made in his name to the Cambridge Memorial Hospital.
