Melrose, David passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of his family at Collingwood General & Marine Hospital on Wednesday December 21, 2016 in his 86th year. David, will be forever loved and deeply missed by his wife Mary, daughters Kim (Norm) Burmister, Wendy (Ian) Murray and Elaine (Clark Richards) Melrose; grandchildren Nikki, Christopher, Erin, Kathleen and David. Son of Tom and Lillian Melrose of Collingwood and Foster Son of Jack and Elsie Jamieson of Dundalk. He is survived by his brothers Gord and Bob; predeceased by brothers Bill, Tom and Wilfred. As per his wishes cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. As an expression of sympathy donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, Crohn’s & Colitis Canada or the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.
