LEVESQUE, Rita - Surrounded by the love of her family at the Civic Hospital in Ottawa on Thursday, December 8th, 2016 in her 96th year. Rita Lena Levesque (nee Malo) of Pembroke, beloved wife of the late Gabriel Levesque. Cherished mother of Maurice (Lynne), Jean-Guy (Geraldine), Solange (Jean) and Alfred (Angie). Special grandmother of Pierre (Josee), Daniel (Nancy), Eric (Melanie), Scott (Selena), Reid (Andrea), Amanda (Matt) and Adam (Chelsey). Caring great grandmother of Vincent, Olivier, Felix, Marianne, Mathieu, Nicholas, Zoe, Allie, Hunter and Carter. Dear sister of Delima Tremblay (the late Roland), Laurent and Rachel St. Jacques (the late Donald). Predeceased by her parents Alfred Malo and Adelia Ladouceur, by her brothers Remi (the late Dorina), Leo and Rejean, and by her daughters-in-law Joan and Jane. Rita dearly loved children and was a foster mother for many years. She was an active member of the Federation Des Femmes Canadiennes Francaises since its beginning in 1941. Her main interests were quilting and participating in activities at Centre Lajoie and St. Jean Baptiste Parish. The family wishes to thank the Sisters of St. Joseph and staff for their care and compassion.
