In Loving Memory of Carmen M.C. Mihaichuk (nee Filiatrault) 74 years Passed away peacefully at the Maison McCulloch Hospice on Thursday, February 16th, 2017 Beloved wife of 50 years to Patrick Mihaichuk (predeceased). Loving mother of Allan Mihaichuk (wife Evelyne) of Chelmsford and Kirk Mihaichuk (deceased) (wife Shirley) of Val Caron. Cherished grandma of Courtney (Darian), Kyle (Jackie) and Justin (Tammy). Daughter of Emmanuel & Marie-Anne Filiatrault and daughter-in-law of William & Dorothy Mihachuk all predeceased. Carmen was a very loving soul with a generous and kind heart. She was at her happiest surrounded by her family and friends. She also enjoyed spending quality time with her cat Pearl, reading a good book and spent countless hours cooking and baking for everyone to enjoy. Carmen shared her true passion for the “Blue Jays” with her son Allan; by far she was their greatest fan. Throughout her courageous battle with cancer she remained very strong and maintained an amazingly positive outlook; an inspiration to the rest of us to never give up. Carmen will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her family, her sister-in-law and brother-in-law Shirley and George Chomitsch, their daughters Dawn (Meghan) and Andrea (Joe), many cousins from near and far, her friends of over 48 years since living in Lively, her friends in the building where she lived in Chelmsford who quickly became like a 2nd family to her in the last 4 years, the members of “Club 50” in Chelmsford, her countless caregivers who stood by her side throughout her stoic journey. Dear Carmen, you have earned your Angel wings. You will remain forever in our hearts. At the request of Carmen and her family, there will be no visitation. A celebration of her life will take place at Allan’s home on Saturday, February 25th, 2017 at 52 Rushbrooke Cresent in Chelmsford from 1-4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory to the following charities would be greatly appreciated; Maison McCulloch Hospice, Wheels of Hope Transportation Services (Northern Cancer Foundation) and Northern Cancer Foundation – Cancer Centre. Arrangements entrusted to the Lougheed Funeral Home.
