Peacefully, with her family by her side on January 24, 2017. Predeceased by her loving husband Nicola. She cherished her daughter Theresa and adored her son-in-law Frank Protomanni. She cared, loved, adored, and protected her grandchildren Alexander, Philip and Simone. She will forever be missed by her brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews. She was the matriarch of the Mossa family and her family meant everything to her. A selfless and genuine person who always made herself available to her family and friends. Proud of her Italian heritage (born in Sannicandro Di Bari, Italy) but grateful and blessed for her Canadian life since 1954. Heartfelt thanks to the Staff at Casa Dolce Casa, her caring nurses Shelly, Uglia, and Oma. Rosa, a devoted catholic who embraced the word of God. She would want that you hug a loved one, smile at a stranger, complete an act of goodness and pray that we all love each other. Visitations will be held at Bernardo Funeral Home (2960 Dufferin St., south of Lawrence Ave. W.) on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated at Holy Rosary Church (354 St. Clair Ave. W.) on Friday, January 27, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. Entombment will follow at Prospect Cemetery (1450 St. Clair Ave W. east of Caledonia Rd)
