Donald Anthony Niesen

Don Niesen of Walkerton, passed away peacefully at the Hanover & District Hospital, on Sunday, October 30, 2016. He was 75. Beloved husband of Phyllis (nee Grubb). Father of Jim of London, Mike (Rhonda) of Mildmay, Darryl of Walkerton, Tracey (Mike) Schaus of Clifford and Jason (Adrianna Wilson) of Mildmay. He will be greatly missed by his two grand-daughters Michaela and Allie, brother Ken (Rose) of Vancouver and his sister Jane (Dale) Brownlee of Calgary. He will also be missed by many nieces, nephews and Godchildren. Don is predeceased by his parents Anthony and Mary Niesen, and his infant brother James. Don’s family will receive friends and relatives for a casual visitation at the Cameron Funeral Home, Walkerton, on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with parish prayers being held at 3:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, November 3, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, Walkerton. Rev. Andrew Quarshie officiating. Private family internment will take place at the Calvary Cemetery, Walkerton. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Sacred Heart Building Fund and the Hanover & District Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family. Cards available at the funeral home.
