Life Story for Frank Friesen

Frank Friesen
84 years, passed away peacefully on September 3, 2009 with loving family by his side. Born March 28, 1925, Section 17, Township 14, Range 12, West 3rd, Saskatchewan. Loving husband of 55 years to Clarice Friesen (nee Finn). Son of Franz (1894-1983) & Maria Friesen (nee Wall) (1898-1969). Frank will be greatly missed by many family & friends. Father of Daniel & Nancy (McMurtry), Thomas & Veronica (Boucher), Frances Friesen & Michael McMullin, Lawrence Friesen & Susan McBride, Stephen & Lisa (Stroud), and Kenneth Friesen & Jodi Rowe. Grandfather of Andrew, Lydia; Andrea & Alex, Michael Boucher, Mitchell Boucher; Katherine, Patrick, & Matthew McMullin; Corey, Eric & Tiana, Meaghan Dufour, Michael Dufour, Emma McBride – Williams; Lauren, Jordan, Ryan (1995) & Nickolas; and Kiona. Brothers & Sisters: Anne Borzel & Karl (1984), Westlock AB, Joe (1981) & Mabel (1974), Calgary AB, Marie Falconer & Alex (1996) Port Alberni BC, Jack & Helen (2002) Edmonton AB, George & Georgette, Val-d’Or QC, John Friesen (1990), Vancouver BC, Eva Beaulac & Roland (1995), Creston BC, Dave & Sandra, Kelowna BC, Lydia & Harold Baumbrough, Naramata BC. Daughters in law Marilyn Boynton and Tammy Friesen. Frank was a Veteran of WW II, Lincoln & Welland Regiment, National Director War Amps of Canada, Royal Canadian Legion (61 yrs) Branch 594, Recipient of Queen Elizabeth 50th Anniversary medal. Donations to “The War Amps” of Canada or the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 594, Poppy Fund would be appreciated. Visiting Friday from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. R.C. Legion Branch #594 service Friday at 7:30 p.m. Parish prayers Friday at 8:00 p.m. at Families First Funeral Home & Tribute Centre (519-969-5841) 3260 Dougall Ave. On Saturday, family and friends are invited to meet the family after 10:00 a.m. at Corpus Christi (1400 Cabana Rd W) followed by Mass at 11:00 a.m. Interment Heavenly Rest Cemetery.Please join the family at the Windsor Cenotaph every Nov. 11
