McGillicky, George Carl

1931 – 2016

It is with great sadness that the family wishes to announce the sudden passing of George McGillicky on Monday, December 26, 2016 at the age of 85 years.

George leaves behind his wife of 57 years, Celia McGillicky and their seven children, Guy (Gaylene) McGillicky and their children, Christie (Luiz Sousa), Cory (Kristy) McGillicky and Jody (Carey) Beitel; Randy (Sheila) McGillicky and their children Christopher McGillicky, Tyson (Tatum) McGillicky and Kyle (Danielle) McGillicky; Darcy (Jackie) McGillicky and their children, Kelcy McGillicky and Nolan McGillicky; Kevin (Cindy) McGillicky and his son Karl McGillicky; Lesa (Warren) Carriere and their children, Meagan and Stephanie Carriere; Lori McGillicky (Rick) and Denise (Darrin) Brooks and their children, Bailey, Riley and Sydney Brooks. George will also be missed by his sisters, Irene Monteyne, Marie Walter and Paulette (John) Kish.

George was predeceased by his parents, Roy and Pauline McGillicky; brothers Roy McGillicky Jr. and Ralph McGillicky; and sister Roseanne Monteyne.

A Funeral Mass was held on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Estevan, SK with Rev. Brian Meredith presiding. A luncheon followed in the church auditorium.

Those so wishing may make memorial donations in George’s name to a charity of choice.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Hall Funeral Services, Estevan.
