Gordon Hanson 1940 – 2016 Gordon Olaf Hanson, late of Estevan, SK passed away at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Estevan, on Sunday, November 13, 2016 at the age of 76 years. Gordon is survived by his loving wife Evelyn Hanson of Estevan, SK; daughters, Joyce (David) Mack (Estevan, SK), Diana (Garner) McAllister (Swift Current, SK); son Aaron Hanson (Macoun, SK). Left to cherish many fond memories are Gordon’s grandchildren Kaylyn (Chad) Hebert and their children Davin and Theodore (Moosomin, SK), Lawrence Fieber (Saskatoon, SK), Tanner Mack (Estevan, SK) and Tim Kolenz (Midale, SK); as well as his brother Walter (Pat Fernell) Hanson (Estevan, SK); sisters, Claira Hursh (Estevan, SK), Elaine Spalding (Nipawin, SK) and brother-in-law Harold Ribling (Estevan, SK). Gordon will also be missed by his extended family Leon and Lila Duff (Preeceville, SK) and numerous nieces and nephews. Gordon was predeceased by his parents, Oliver and Lulu Hanson; brothers, Lloyd and Ben (Olive) Hanson; sisters, Doreen (Garnet) Duff and Dorothy Ribling; brothers-in-law, George Hursh and Irvine Spalding and sister-in-law Amy Hanson. A Memorial Service was held on Friday, November 18, 2016 at 9:30 a.m. in the Chapel of Hall Funeral Services, Estevan, with Carmella Eagles officiating. A time of fellowship followed at the Beefeater Plaza, 910 – 13th Avenue, Estevan. A private family interment took place later in the day at the Macoun Cemetery. Those so wishing may make donations in Gordon’s memory to the New Estevan Regional Nursing Home, 1201 2nd Street, Estevan, SK S4A 0M1. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Hall Funeral Services, Estevan.
