Hertha (Simpson) Dechief 1935 – 2016 It is with great sorrow that the family wishes to announce the passing of Hertha Dechief at Newhope Pioneer Lodge, Stoughton, SK on Friday, December 23, 2016 at the age of 81 years. Hertha's memory will be forever cherished by her daughters, Debbie (John) Rutten, Donna (Dale) Domres, Janice (Darrell) Wagner and Barb (Blaine) Adams; grandchildren, Marla Eger (Geoff), Derek (Janelle) Rutten, Jared (Shannon) Domres, Kendra (Nelson) Jalotjot, Bryce (Jenny) Domres, Brandy Wagner (Shane), Lindsey Wagner, Joel (Danielle) Simpson, Bryan (Desiree) Adams and Darren (Jackie) Adams; 13 great grandchildren; siblings, Irma Kreager, Ab Miller and Lenny Miller; Alex’s sons, Donnie, Raymond and Brian Dechief, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family. She was predeceased by her first husband Don Simpson; second husband Alex Dechief; parents, Gus and Helen Miller; sister Ella Leclair and brother Emil Miller. A Memorial Service was held at Grace United Church, Stoughton, SK on Thursday, December 29, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. Interment took place at the Stoughton Town Cemetery, after which a luncheon was held at the Stoughton Legion. In memory of Hertha, donations to the Newhope Lodge Activity Fund, Box 38, Stoughton, SK, S0G 4T0 would be appreciated by her family. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Hall Funeral Services, Estevan.
