Shirley White

Shirley Ann White, age 80, 129 White Mountain Road, Erwin, went to be with the Lord Sunday morning, October 16, 2016. She was a lifelong resident of Unicoi County and a daughter of the late Cecil and Elsie Callahan Banks. Mrs. White was a homemaker. She was a member of the Shallow Ford Baptist Church. Other than her parents, Mrs. White was preceded in death by a son, Adam White in 1992; two brothers, Harold Banks and Carlos Banks; two sisters, Mildred Hillman and Joyce McKinney. Mrs. White leaves behind to cherish her memories: her loving husband of sixty-four years, Robert L. "Bob" White, two sons, Robert Lee "Robby" White, Jr. and wife, Rhonda, Joseph Andrew White and wife, Carolyn and one daughter, Dawna Poulsen and husband, Gary; one brother, Wilbur Banks and wife, Shirley; one sister, Betty Banks Hazellief; three grandsons; two great grandsons and four great granddaughters; several nieces and nephews also survive. Graveside service will be held at 2:00 P. M., Tuesday, October 18, 2016 in the Evergreen Cemetery. Reverend Bill Booth will officiate. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the Robert Ledford Funeral home by l:30 P.M. Tuesday to go in procession to the cemetery.
