Dortha Hass Boren, 81, of Atkins, passed away Friday, December 9, 2016, at the Atkins Nursing and Care Center. She was born January 7, 1935, in London, daughter of the late Everett L. and Minnie Gardenhire Hass. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Earl Boren; 2 brothers; 2 sisters; a son-in-law; and 2 nephews. She is survived by a daughter, Darlene Epperson of Atkins; son, Earl Ray (Cricket Miller) Boren of Atkins; grandchildren, Jeremy (Rachel) Epperson, Karen Nunnely, Tyler Boren, Garrett (Megan) Boren, Robert Howell, and Jessie Howell; and 9 great-grandchildren, Cody Roberts, Colton Epperson, Jackson Boren, Trent Boren, Anna Boren, Allison Boren, Logan Seaton, Landon Seaton, and Addison Rae Boren. Funeral services are 10:00 AM, Monday, December 12, at Atkins First Free Will Baptist Church with Bro. Johnny McCoy officiating. Burial is in St. Joe Cemetery under the direction of Lemley Funeral Service of Atkins. Visitation is from 2:00-4:00 PM, Sunday, at Lemley Chapel. Pallbearers are Cody Roberts, Colton Epperson, Tyler Boren, Garrett Boren, Phillip Boren, Richey Boren, and Robert Howell.
