Evelyn Stewart

Evelyn Stewart, 92, of Fort Smith, Arkansas passed away on Sunday November 13, 2016 in a Fort Smith nursing home. She was retired from Wortz Biscuit and Cracker Company and a member of the Central Baptist Church. She was born February 2, 1924 to Isaac and Sadie (Barnett) Weldon in Havana, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters, Doris Guillory Ludie Lee and Della Mae Kesner. Evelyn was a volunteer poll worker and supporter of the Good Samaritans. Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Wednesday November 16, 2016 at Ocker-Putman Funeral Home Chapel in Fort Smith with burial at 1:00 P.M. in Towne Cemetery in Havana, Arkansas. She is survived by one son, Bill Stewart, Jr. and his wife Linda Katy of Moore, Oklahoma; one sister, Joy Poole of Greenwood, Arkansas; one grandson, Keane Stewart of Farmington, Arkansas and two great-grandchildren, Jackson and Jett Stewart. Pall bearers are, Mike and David Guillory, Dennis Rounsavall, Elwin Hoover, Rick Hamon and Victor Squicimari. The Family will visit with friends on Tuesday November 15, 2016 from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. at Ocker-Putman Funeral Home.
