John R. Clyma, 71, of Fort Smith, Arkansas passed away on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 in a local hospital. He was born on March 24, 1945 in Kansas City, Kansas to Russell and Doris (Kreipke) Clyma. He formerly worked for Arkansas Best in the Human Resources Department, was the former general sales manager at Randall Ford and was the co-owner of Impressions Boutique in Greenwood, Arkansas. He was a graduate of the University of Arkansas and was a member of First Baptist Church in Greenwood, Arkansas. Funeral services are 11:00AM, Saturday, October 15, 2016 at Ocker-Putman Funeral Home Chapel in Fort Smith with burial to follow in Gracelawn Cemetery in Van Buren, Arkansas. Arrangements are under the direction of Ocker-Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith, Arkansas. He is survived by his wife Kathy of the home; two daughters, Kathy Ahne and her husband Justin of Greenwood, AR and Stacey Shipman and her husband Kevin of Hackett, AR; one son, Shane Medford and his wife Vesti of Fort Smith, AR; one brother, James Clyma of Fort Smith, AR; three sisters, Terry Allen and her husband Dennis of Muldrow, OK, Nancy Smith and her husband Allen and Sandy Irvin and her husband Buddy all of Van Buren, AR; eight grandchildren, Tristan Ahne, Trevor and Dexter Holcombe, Parker, Cooper and Fischer Shipman, Hunter and Grace Ann Medford and one great granddaughter Ella Grace Holcombe. Pallbearers are grandsons, Trevor and Dexter Holcombe, Parker, Cooper and Fischer Shipman and Hunter Medford. Honorary pallbearers are his nephews.
