Mr. Gerald Lynn Carroll of Hazen, Arkansas departed this life Sunday, December 25, 2016 in Wynne, Arkansas. He was born March 3, 1964 at Blytheville, Arkansas the son of Stuart Jay and Novella (Hedge) Carroll. Mr. Carroll was raised in West Helena, Arkansas and Marvel, Arkansas, and was a graduate of Marvel High School. He owned and operated Carroll’s Excavation Service. Whenever he had the opportunity to be off work he could be found fishing or hunting with his sons. Gerald also enjoyed dirt track racing. He was of the Christian faith. Gerald was preceded in death by his father, Stuart Jay Carroll. He is survived by his fiancé, Melody Dewitt of Wynne, Arkansas; his mother, Novella Carroll; two sons, Chris Carroll and Josh Carroll both of Hazen, Arkansas; two brothers, Glenn Carroll of West Helena, Arkansas and Gordon Carroll of Jonesboro, Arkansas; three sisters, Glenda Warren of Leachville, Arkansas, Denise Hall of Saint Charles, Missouri, and Annett Moneymaker of Searcy, Arkansas; three grandchildren, Addie Beth Carroll, Ella Grace Carroll, and Maci Jolynn Carroll all of Hazen, Arkansas; his ex-wife, Belinda Bruce of Batesville, Arkansas; and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 31, 2016 in the Thompson-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel in Wynne, Arkansas with Brother Christian VanHouten officiating. Friends may visit the funeral home from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, December 30, 2016. Honorary pallbearers are Frankie Lisko, Tim Bedner, Shoan Welch, Brandon Rollins, Jack Harlson, and Perry Johnson.
