Colton Farley

Colton John “Colt” Farley of Sharp County, Arkansas, departed this life on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at the age of 19. He was born May 5, 1997 in Newport, the son of Jason and Stella Farley. Colton was a ranch hand for N & B Farms, also working at livestock auctions. He enjoyed fishing and hunting anything in season. He loved the rodeo, back roading, and especially spending time with his family and friends. Colton was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Edith Jackson; and a special aunt, Amy Gann. He is survived by his mother, Stella Farley and Matt McCoy of Newport; his father, Jason Farley and wife, Tia, of Evening Shade; one sister, Hanna Sullins, and special nephew, Tucker, of Melbourne; one step-sister, Savannah Drinkhouse of Evening Shade; his paternal grandmother, Venita Farley of Newark; his maternal grandfather, Jackie Cheshier and wife, Jennifer, of Tuckerman; his step-grandfather, Don Jackson of Cushman; his dog, Booger; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Friends may visit at the funeral home, Saturday, beginning at 12:30. Services will begin Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at Jackson’s Newport Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Bryan McMorris officiating. Interment will follow in Cheshier Cemetery. Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Travis Tate, Braden Tate, Possum Gibson, Caleb Smart, Cody Gann, and Casey Cheshier. Honorary pallbearers are Billy Bridgers, Kyle Payne, Colton Guffey, Jared Moise, Alex Cheshier, T.J. Sullins, and his rodeo family from across the county.
