Mrs. Corine (Yates) Helms of Oil Trough, Arkansas, departed this life Friday, December 9, 2016 at the age of 78. She was born June 29, 1938, the daughter of Jonnie Yates and Robbie Lee (Taylor) Yates. Mrs. Helms worked many years in shoe factories, and loved cooking, fishing and dancing. She enjoyed reading and being outdoors. Mrs. Helms was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edward Helms;one son, Michael Edward Helms; one daughter, Judy Ann Freeman; and one brother, Jerry Anthony Lee Yates. She is survived by two sons, Billy Dale Helms and wife, Janice, of Bradford, Josh Helms and wife, Tammy, of Mountain Home;one daughter, Bobbie Jo Fairfield of Oil Trough; one brother Thomas Yates, of Mountain Home; one-half brother, Edward Lee Yates, of Newark; one sister, Rebecca Ball, of Newport; seven grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren; special aunt and uncle, Maddie and George Ball, of Rosie. Funeral services are 10:00 a.m. Monday at Jackson’s Funeral Home Chapel with interment at Coffeyville Cemetery.
