Mr. Charles Danny McClain, of Newark, Arkansas departed this life on Wednesday, December 28, 2016, at the age of 69. He was born June 19, 1947, in Batesville, Arkansas, the son of Charles Marion and Montine (Gipson) McClain Copeland. Mr. McClain and Judith Louise Gardner were married on November 13, 1965. Mr. McClain was a 1965 graduate of Newark School. He was a farmer and heavy equipment operator with D & Z and Fluor Daniel Company, where he worked mainly on construction of power plants, all over the country. He was a former member of the Masonic Lodge, in Newark. He loved fishing, hunting, gardening, camping, grilling and tinkering around. He loved to watch his daughters and his grandsons, Cole and Cade, play basketball. He enjoyed the Razorbacks. Mr. McClain was preceded in death by his father; one brother David McClain; one grandson, Chace Crabtree; one nephew, Keith Gardner. He is survived by his wife, Judith Louise (Gardner) McClain; three daughters, Tina McClain, of Conway, Dedee McClain Crabtree, of Thida, Alex McClain and finance, Lane Comeaux, of Searcy; two grandsons, Cole and Cade Crabtree; his mother, Montine Copeland; two brothers, Steve McClain, of Costa Rica, Sonny McClain, of North Little Rock; two nieces, with whom Mr. and Mrs. McClain shared their home, Monica McClain Lowery, of Tuckerman and Marci McClain, of North Little Rock; six nieces and nephews, Reeda Hodges, Jack Gardner, Randall Gardner, Shawn Richmond, Melinda Talley, and Hays McClain. Friends may visit at the church Saturday 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. Funeral services are 3:00 p.m. Saturday at Newark Church of Christ with interment in Mt. Zion Cemetery. Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Cole Crabtree, Cade Crabtree, Wayne Cordell, Justin Gardner, Randy Sisk, Jason Gardner. Honorary pallbearers are Benny Goings, Jack Gardner, Chad Gipson, Larry McClain, Lane Comeaux.
