Mrs. Dorothy Dianne (O’Bonnon) Guthrie of Newark, Arkansas, departed this life on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at the age of 66. She was born March 20, 1950 in Lexa, Arkansas, the daughter of Otis and Catherine L. (Farmer) O’Bonnon. Mrs. Guthrie spent her life working, having been employed over the years at White Rogers, Newark Power Plant, and ConAgra. She was of the Baptist faith, and enjoyed working in her garden, painting, crafting, and sewing. Mrs. Guthrie especially loved cooking for and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by one grandchild, Garrett Yeager; one brother, Leslie O’Bonnon; and her parents. Mrs. Guthrie is survived by her husband, Roy Dean Guthrie of Newark; two sons, Tony Vinson of Batesville, and Daniel Vinson and fiancé, Melaney Davis of Newark; four step-sons, Timothy Hewitt of Weiner, Michael Hewitt of Hot Springs, Eric Hewitt of Weiner, and Jack Guthrie of Harrisburg; three brothers, Norm O’Bonnon of Atlanta, Georgia, Tom O’Bonnon of Drasco, Arkansas, and Eddy O’Bonnon of Topock, AZ; three grandchildren, Hunter Vinson, Tanner Vinson, and Sherry Fowler; three great-grandchildren, Slade Vinson, Mabree Vinson, and Tevin Paul Thomas; and a lifetime of friends. Friends may visit at the Jackson’s Newark Funeral Home Chapel, Friday, noon until 2:00 p.m. Memorial services will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. Homer Branscum officiating. Arrangements by Jackson’s Newark Funeral Home.
