Mrs. Linda Carol (Richards) Eddington of Newport, Arkansas, departed this life on Monday, November 14, 2016 at the age of 69. She was born December 11, 1946, at Tuckerman, Arkansas, the daughter of Eugene and Nola Mae (Billingsley) Richards.
Mrs. Eddington was a 1965 graduate of Newport High School, and worked at American Lantern over 19 years. She was a member of the Campbell Station Baptist Church. Mrs. Eddington enjoyed cooking, shopping, and decorating. Her greatest love, however, was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Nola Mae.
Mrs. Eddington is survived by her husband, Dale Eddington of the home; one son, Dewayne Eddington and wife, Sarah, of Ruston, Louisiana; one daughter, Stacy Lackey and husband, Paul, of Sherwood, Arkansas; three grandchildren, Kodey Dewayne Eddington and wife, Sierra, Lane Joseph Eddington, and Emma Nicole Lackey; five step-grandchildren, Rebecca, Zach, Jacob, Rachel, and Molley Bertand; one great-grandchild, Blair Rae Eddington; a host of family, and a lifetime of friends.
Friends may visit at the funeral home, Wednesday, 5:00-7:00 p.m. Funeral services are 10:00 a.m. Thursday at Jackson’s Newport Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Charley Churchman officiating.
Honorary pallbearers are Keith Billings, Lynn Hagood, Jimbo Eddington, Millard Eddington, and Wayne Daniels.
