On October 16th, 2016 at 9:04 am. the world lost a great man and heaven gained him. Richard (Dick) Boughey was ushered into glory from the Denver Hospice Facility. He was born on Monday, June 9th, 1924 to the late Albert and Latha Boughey, from Ferndale Michigan. He was the seventh of nine children. Dick was a distinguished WWII veteran and served our nation honorably. He was also a Dry Cleaner by trade, an automobile enthusiast, and had more pep than anyone we know as he attended the gym up until 91 years of age. He made friends everywhere he went, and had an endearing talent for making babies smile. He will be laid to rest in the Riverside National Cemetery with his wife Patricia Joan Boughey. He is survived by his sister: Betty Toomer, his three children: William E. Boughey, Paul R. Boughey and Claudia J. Mapes, four grandchildren: Bridget E. Boughey, Danielle J. Mapes, Richard A. Mapes and Bethany J. Mapes and a host of nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. A viewing will be held at the McWane Family Funeral Home in Hemet California on November 4th 2016 at 10:00 a.m. and a graveside service will follow at the Riverside National Cemetery in Riverside California at 1:30 p.m. All who wish to attend are warmly welcomed.
