Herta Lett Obituary

Herta (Helen) Lett passed away on November 29, 2016. She was 86 years old. Helen was born April 21, 1930 in Frankfurt, Germany to Ernst and Margaret (Lampert) Ehemann. Helen spent her childhood and young adulthood in Germany. She moved to the United States with her first husband Charles Murphy. She married the love of her life, Bob Lett, on August 6, 1960 in Denver, CO. Bob and Helen spent most of their lives living in Colorado and the majority of that time was spent in the beautiful Animas Valley in Durango. In 2005 they moved to Farmington, NM to be close to their grandchildren. Bob passed away in December 2009, which was just 8 months short of their 50th wedding anniversary. Helen was a wonderful and loving mother who adored her two grandsons. She loved dancing the night away with Bob, bowling with her girlfriends, playing card games with her family and “Winning!” She also liked taking trips to Lake Powell and visiting her family in Germany. Helen loved going to the senior center in Farmington to play Bingo and hang out with her friends. Anyone that had the wonderful pleasure of knowing Helen, knew she was a very loyal friend and that her friends were extremely important to her. She had a huge and positive impact on many lives and she will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Helen is finally pain-free and in heaven with her husband and parents. Helen is survived by her brother Klaus (Lucia) Ehemann, brother-in-law Richard (Kay) Lett, son Michael Lett, daughter Michelle (Matthew) Hubbard, grandsons Alexander and Nicholas and their father Glen Malburg and numerus cousins, nieces, nephews, and all of her friends.
