Jim Paul Freemyer, Sr., 59, of Evans, CO went home to be with Jesus July 13, 2014.
He was born October 14, 1954 in Denver, CO to Clarence and Evelyn (Berner) Freemyer.
Jim grew up in Mathison, CO on a ranch and graduated from Simla High School and Blair Community College.
Jim married Connie Hamacher on January 16, 1972 at the Simla Methodist Church. He served in the United States Army from 1972-1977 when he was honorably discharged.
He was employed as a truck driver for Now or Never. Jim liked fishing, camping, wood working and helping others. He was a member of the American Legion in Greeley, Highland Park Baptist Church in Jefferson, KY and attended Christ Community Church in Greeley.
Survivors include his wife, Connie of Evans; sons, Michael Freemyer of Northglenn, CO, Steven (Lynn) Freemyer of McCracken, KS, Thomas (Janet) Freemyer and Jim Freemyer, Jr. all of Ft. Collins, CO; grandchildren, Willie and Nicole Freemyer of McCracken; his mother, Evelyn of Akron; sister, Mildred (Paul) Hulkovich of Akron, CO; and brother and sister-in-laws, Kenneth (Libbie) Hamacher, Gary (Diane) Hamacher, Larry (Fran) Hamacher, and Roy (Donna) Hamacher.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Services include visitation from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday July 17, 2014 and Celebration of Life service at 1:00 p.m. Friday, both at Adamson Chapel. Interment will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 19, 2014 at Haxtun Cemetery in Haxtun, CO.
