Wanda Bostick

Wanda Jeffcoat Bostick passed away on March 17th, 2017. Wanda was born September 29, 1944, at home to Mattie Lucy (Lynn) and Clio Jeffcoat in Gordon, Alabama, where she lived until graduating Ashford High School in 1962. Wanda moved to Birmingham where she studied at Alverson Draughn Business School, and later worked at Carraway Methodist Hospital where she met her husband Neil Bostick. Wanda and Neil were married August 20, 1980, and they celebrated 30 years of marriage until his passing in 2011. While in Birmingham, Wanda was an active member of the 11th Avenue United Methodist Church and her neighborhood on 16th Avenue South where she enjoyed her time with friends. After the family’s move to Monroeville, Alabama she became a member of Frisco City United Methodist Church where she enjoyed being an active member of church circles. Wanda and Neil moved to Evans, Colorado to be close to their daughter Catherine. Reading and needlepoint were Wanda’s favorite pastimes. Wanda was a legendary cook among friends and family, and her son Steve once said he would put the epithet “she was a good cooker” on her headstone. Wanda’s family would like to thank the staff of Touchstone Home Health for the fantastic care she received. Wanda is survived by her daughters, Catherine Mancha of Evans, CO and Becca Little of Auburn, AL; son, James Bostick of Ocala, FL; grandchildren, Elizabeth, Rachel, James, and Naomi; nieces Staci and Melissa; brother, Dwight Jeffcoat of Dothan, AL; and sister, Marguerita Evans.
