James Duffy

James Duffy, 87, of Windsor CT, beloved husband for 56 years to Aspacia (Kamaros) Duffy, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Thursday November 10, 2016. James was born in Sag Harbor, NY, and later chose to proudly serve his country in the U.S. Air force. Jim worked at Pratt Whitney for over 30 years. He was a voracious reader and read books on a wide variety of topics. He was an avid history buff, football fan and had a huge appreciation of classical music. James was a loving father and grandfather; he will be deeply missed by his son Jason and his wife Elaine. He leaves behind two grandchildren; Julia and Troy, who he adored and loved immensely. Jim also leaves behind his brother, Terrence Duffy and his sister Jackie. He is predeceased by his parents the late James Duffy, Dorothy Duffy Nuney and his sister Hanora. He is also predeceased by his lovely and caring mother-in-law Mary Kamaros. He also leaves behind his dearest sisters and brothers-in-law; Dorothy Capsolas and her late husband Stephen, Dr. Xenophon and Lola Papaioanou, Dr. Richard and Iris Staub, George George and his late wife Anne, and the late Alice Anagnostou. Lastly, he leaves behind many cherished, loving and supportive nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be on Tuesday Nov 15 from 6 to 8 pm at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels, Enfield. A memorial service will begin at 11:00 am on Wednesday November 16 at the funeral home followed by Military Honors. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation may be made in James’s memory to St Jude’s Children’s Hospital, Tribute Program P.O. Box 1000 Dept. 142 Memphis, TN 38101-9908.
