Dea. Aaron Bratten

Deacon. Aaron Joel Bratten, born November 22, 1982, passed away peacefully on February 17, 2017, the son of Reverend Elmer and Peggy Bratten. His educational training was at Calvary and Central Delaware Christian Academy, Caeser Rodney School District, and POLYTECH High School, where he graduated in 2000, as an honor student majoring in Radio and Television Production. In May, 2004, he graduated as a Dean’s list scholar from Delaware State University, earning a B.A. Degree in Mass Communication. He was the founder and owner of “Cherish the Moments Video Production”. Aaron graduated from the Joint College of Bishops Adjutancy School in 2012. As a freshman in college he was hired at Bayhealth Medical Center. He worked in Radiology as Health Information Assistant until his death. At the early age of seven, he developed a special interest in music. He and his twin brother could not walk by the piano without sitting down to play. He participated in the Milford Community Band, Polytech High School Panther’s Band and the Delaware State University Approaching Storm Marching Band. His family and friends saw his interest in music and gave him musical instruments. He would get on a set of drums or the saxophone in any church service anywhere. He served with much dedication as an ordained deacon, minister, musician, Sunday school teacher, praise and worship leader, trustee, Youth on Fire for Christ and Disciples in Denim, and chair of Men’s day at Mt. Sinai Tabernacle, Milford. Before his appointment as National Youth Convention President (1st President from State of Delaware), he served his terms as treasurer and financial secretary. The Board of Presbyters approved his ordination to Deacon in September in 2012. He was the youngest appointed adjutant ( age 17) by Bishop Joseph H. Bell, Sr. In 2016 the Board of Directors appointed Aaron as the Chief Adjutant of Mid- Atlantic District, Mt. Sinai Holy Church of America, Inc. Aaron was dedicated and committed to serve his Bishop Grace Ruth Batten, Pastor Elder Elmer Bratten and all clergy that in whose presence he came. To “Cherish the Moments” Mother and Father, Elmer and Peggy, (twin) brother Andrew (Courtney); brother, A. Joseph; one nephew Jayce; God mother (Ms. Delores Milbourne); two adopted sisters Minister Tracy Humphries and Dr. Clytrice Watson (Michael); Great Aunts: Esther Knapp, Bishop Grace Batten, Grace Williams, Mabel Schoolfield, Ida Brittingham, Great Uncles: Edward Bratten(Olivia), James Brittingham, Aunts: Rachel Bratten, Elvira Briscoe, Isabelle Davis, Priscilla Holland, Alice Mullen(Anthony), Lola Phillips, Rosemary Waples(Larry), and Arlene Young. Uncles: Amos Bratten (Georgeann), Gerald Bratten, Timothy Bratten (Michaella), Dave Predeoux (Patricia), Fulton Predeoux, Mount Sinai Holy Church of America Family, and a host of cousins and friends.
