Dwight Nemnich Obituary

Dwight Nemnich (Ike), 92, of Satellite Beach, died on Sunday, January 22, 2017. Born December 17, 1924 in Clay Center, KS, he was the son of the late Rev. Meryl E. and Edna Roenigk Nemnich. He served as an Aerial Navigator in the U.S. Army Air Forces from 1943 to 1946, and in the U.S. Air Force from 1954 to 1971, retiring as a Chief Master Sergeant. He met his wife, Emilie H. Graschberger while stationed at Furstenfeldbruck Air Base, Germany and married in 1954. Ike graduated from Twin Falls High School, Twin Falls, Idaho in 1942 and from Florida Technological University (UCF) in 1977 with a Degree in Secondary Education. Following his military career he worked as an Administrator at Kennedy Space Center for Boeing and Wackenhut for fire and security. Ike’s next career was teaching adult education at Brevard Community College. His final endeavor before retiring was operating his own income tax service. Dwight was preceded in death by his wife, Emilie, his brothers Lloyd Nemnich, Clay Center, KS, Vaughn Nemnich, Fort Lewis, WA, and Gary Nemnich, Montgomery, AL. He is survived by two sons, Robert Dennis, and wife Tanya of Satellite Beach, James Michael and wife Janice of Indialantic, and one grandchild, Alexis Chatman, and husband Bret of Tampa. Funeral Services are 1:00PM, Friday, February 3rd, at Beach Funeral Home, Satellite Beach. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to American Cancer Society in care of the funeral home.
