Charmaine O'Connor-Facey Obituary

Charmaine “Preddie” Elaine Johnson was born September 23, 1972 in Clarendon, Jamaica to Peggy Raby and the late Ernest Johnson. Growing up she was a loving child with a smile that lit up the room. Charmaine attended school at Garvey Maceo in Jamaica before moving to America at the age of 16 in 1988. She than continued her schooling and graduated from Boyd Anderson High. Charmaine had a passion for helping others and making people smile. After being adopted by her American mother Carol Woodburn, she was introduced to the congregation of Jesus Compassion Ministries where she became a dedicated member. Growing up in church, she had many titles from choir director, dance director, drama director as well as playing the drums during praise and worship. Her love for the lord was truly undeniable, she made her light shine where ever she went. During her first marriage to Desmond O’Connor, Charmaine became a step mother to Nickeisha O’Connor. At the age of 24, she gave birth to her first child Desiree O’Connor. For many years it was the sweet duo of Charmaine and Desiree until she met her Boaz (husband) Roy “Claude” Facey during a missionary trip in 2006. During the following year Charmaine and Roy tied the knot in February of 2007, which they then had their first child Anaya Facey in December 2007. In 2008 Charmaine decided to take on a new career path which she started working at Phyls Academy where she was a dedicated and beloved Teacher. As well as a loveable and trustworthy coworker. Charmaine was later on blessed with two more beautiful children in 2013 and 2014, Royanne and Rolando Facey. That she loved very much. Charmaine leaves behind her mother, husband, four children, step daughter, her siblings Rohan Copeland, Joan Johnson, Clement Johnson, Annette Johnson, Vanessa Vassel and Chanda Johnson, many nieces and nephews, god children and a multitude of other family members and friends.
