Ezra Kelly

Evangelist Ezra was born February 27, 1938 in Time and Patience, Jamaica, to the late Charles and Estella Kelly. As a child, he was taught by his mother and grandmother to read the Bible and pray. His dad was a loving father who taught him to respect and obey his mother. Charles Kelly died when he was 13 years old so Ezra began to pray even more. Soon after his 20th birthday he had an encounter with the Lord that forever changed his life. By October of that same year, he was baptized. Shortly after that he became a Christian; evangelizing under the leadership of Pastor Edward and Pastor McKoy. Brother Kelly’s ministry had inspired all those with whom he came in contact with. God granted his heart’s desire to preach the gospel in other countries. Brother Kelly spread the word of God traveling through Jamaica, Cayman Islands, England, Canada and throughout the USA. In 1986, he migrated to Florida and continued in ministry. Brother Kelly continued to steadfast in the ministry that the Lord gave him until the day the Heavenly Father called him home. Brother Kelly Worked very hard to care for his family. He met and married the late Berlene Croche in 1961. Their marriage produced 7 children: James Anthony, Charmaine Alieth, Sean Lloyd, charlesv Rorey, Roger Roland, Suzette Ann0Marie, and Canute Wade Kelly; son-in-law: Treston; daughters-in-law: Avreil, Karen, Marsha and Ellie. Brother Kelly married his second wife Brenda Edwards in 1999, a loving and cring wife who provided a tower of strength to his hard work and ministry. Brother Kelly will be sorely missed. He is survived by his loving wife Brenda, his seven children, four brothers, five sisters, seventeen grandchildren, nieces, nephews, adopted daughter Tracey, his church family and all whose lives he touched. Brother Kelly is loved and respected by all people. He leaves a lasting legacy and an impeccable example to his family and to the body of Christ. His soul is resting in peace.
