John Staples

John Staples Jr. also known as “ June” “Junebug” and “John Jr.” was born March 16, 1962 in Sylvania, GA to the late Caretha Gordon and John Staples Sr. He passed into eternal rest on Monday, December 7, 2015 at North Broward Medical Hospital in Pompano Beach, FL. He was a man of various talents. After his high school years he signed up and entered Job Corp, where he took up Electrician as his trade. He tried that for a few years, then found an interest in becoming a security guard. He loved his job so much. He also went to school to become a licensed gun carrier, which made him feel more protected while on duty. John had his struggles in life, yet as he aged he began to understand and accept peace in his life. He knew of God because he was raised to know Him. He leaves to cherish his memories:5 brothers and 4 sisters: C.W. Gordon of Apopka, FL, Isaiah Gordon, Pomp Gordon, Bobby J. Gordon and Harold Shubert of Pompano Beach, FL, Mattie M. Burns of Sylvania, GA, Cora Wilson (Elijah), Gloria Gordon and Betsy Gordon (Fred) all of Pompano Beach, FL; he has a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that will truly miss him. He is preceded in death by his brother-in-law: Homer Burns; his nephew: Herman Jerome Burns; aunt Minnie; aunt Carrie; and baby nephew: Victor Maurice Burns. They all will be having a ball welcoming him home. Our mom will greet her baby home with a smile.
