A time to be born: Marie Charite Lafortune was born September 5, 1935 to Vederine and Jerelus Lafortune in Port-de-Paix, Haiti. A time to live: Marie moved to the Bahamas for a period then moved to New York where she worked as a CNA. In 1978, she continues her journey to Florida where she began to work as a Housekeeper at Marriott Harbor Beach. A time to love: Marie received Christ at an early age. She loved the Lord and cherished her family. She was a professional seamstress who loved designer fragrances. She traveled the world. A lover of life; she loved people. Selfless individual, she gave to other abundantly. A time to be free: On Tuesday, October 18, 2016, God, in His infinite mercy, called Marie from her labor to reward. A time to mourn: Marie leaves to cherish her memories, 6 children: Yrvin Forestal, Lesly Richardson, Immacula Richardson, Marie George Lafortune, Lorna Lafortune and Brunette Lafortune; 14 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces, nephews and other relatives.
