Nelita Ali Barker

To everything, there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven; a time to be born, and a time to die. Nelita Ali Barker, age 45 of Lauderhill, passed away on October 29, 2015. She was born to the late Amselm Ali and Janet Rodriguez Ali on October 16, 1970 in Port of Spain, Trinidad. As a child Nelita went to school in Trinidad, completing her studies at Bishops Girls College in Port of Spain. There she was blessed with two sons Renaldo and Avinash. She later migrated to the United States in 2003, where she married the love of her life Shawn Barker, out of this union came her youngest son Shaquille Barker. She was a vibrant soul, one who literally lit up the room whenever she entered. Nelita will be most remembered for her youthful spirit, beautiful smile, love for her husband and family. Her gentle nature harbored no harshness, but radiated love and cheerfulness. It is true that there is much sadness here today, but all of these journeys that took Nelita away from here and back home again, will live on in all of you, enriching, guiding and blessing your lives. This is what we will remember.
