Pamela Glover Obituary

On November 27, 2015, God chose a flower to be placed in his garden of everlasting life. Pamela Elizabeth Bowens Glover was born March 31, 1956 in Fort Lauderdale, to the proud parents of the late Herbert L. Bowens and Elizabeth Bowens and to this union was blessed with five children. Pamela was the fourth of five children. She was a proud, loving mother of two children, Leon McCombs and Candice Glover. Pamela Bowens met Herbert Glover and became dedicated in marriage. Herbert began his eternal rest in 2005. She received her formal education through Broward County Schools systems at Walker Elementary, Rogers Middle, and Stranahan High Schools. Pamela’s compassion for others, led her to continue her education in Nursing. She attended Sheridan Technical Center and graduated as a License Practical Nurse in 1982, holding a career as a Nurse for over 25 years. She accepted the Lord as her personal savior and was a member of Tabernacle of the New Covenant Christian Center. Pamela later rededicated her life and became a member of Apostolic Christian Faith Center. Pamela will forever be remembered by her enlightening smile, love of laughter, telephone conversations, spending time with family, reading, crossword puzzles, and watching television (Reality Shows). Left to continue her legacy is her loving mother: Elizabeth Bowens; her son, Leon McCombs (Shawanda), daughter: Candice Glover, devoted companion James Jackson; grandchildren: Shanice Perry, Shamekia McCombs, Keondre Buchana, Kyron Buchana and Kharisma Buchana; great grandchildren: Christina Wright, and Sha’Veah Jones; brother: Herbert L. Bowens (Joyce), sisters: Linda Bowens and Carolyn Bowens; nephews: John Dinkins and Gregory Smith; nieces: ShaTecia Bowens, Drel Dinkins, Lakeisha Smith, and Riva Dinkins, best friend: Robert McWhite, goddaughters: Renee Johnson, La’ Tangela Harris, and Kim Atterberry; a host of great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by brother, Charles E. Bowens (1993) and nephew, Martavius Kelly (2008).
