Shirley Squire took her place among heaven’s angels on Wednesday September 7, 2016 at University Hospital. Born on January 12, 1948 to the late Caroline Moulden and Robert Lee Howard Sr. in Waynesboro, Georgia. At an early age her family moved to Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Her husband Clifton Squire precedes her in death; one sister, three brothers, and one grandson to precede her in death. She was a product of the Broward County School System. Shirley retired from Broward Health Systems. At an early age Shirley gave her life to Christ. She enjoyed volunteering at the church, visiting the sick and feeding the hungry. She leaves to cherish her life in addition to her loving children: one son Maurice Bennett (Kimberly) of Fort Lauderdale, FL, two daughters Sandra Bennett (Bush) Miami, FL, and Tammy Ponder (Donnell) of St. Petersburg, Fl.; one sister Ernestine Grady of Fort Lauderdale, FL; two brothers Felton Howard (Mary) of Fort Lauderdale, FL and Robert Howard Jr. of Chicago, IL; eleven grandchildren: Darryl (Marjorie), Monica, Mary, Brandon, Antonette, Chester, Monica, Marcus, Justin, Bryant, and Shirley; three great-grandchildren Trinity, Ariana, and Zion; also nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
