Mary Lee Carden, 72, of Pace, left the world on November 18, 2016. She lived a long life filled with love from her family and friends. She was a hard working and strong willed woman. She worked at Vanity Fair for 20+ years and recently enjoyed working at Family First Network at Baptist. She is preceded in death by her parents, Horace Hawthorne and Frances Louise Allen; sister, Frances Lail; and two brothers, Roy Hawthorne and Robert Hawthorne. Survivors include two sons Mason (Linda) Carden, and Ronald (Marlene) Carden; four grandchildren, Justin (Trisha), Monique, Nicole and Dylan; two great-grandchildren, Tanner and Daiton; two brothers, Kenny (Pam) Hawthorne and Larry (Trisha) Hawthorne; two sisters, Linda (Martin) Kealer and Sandy (Doyle) Moore; two aunts, Alberta Windham and Hazel Baldree; one uncle, Ed Baas; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Monday November 21, 2016, at Lewis Funeral Home in Pace, Florida. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 22, 2016, at Lewis Funeral Home, Pace Chapel. Burial will follow services in Cora Baptist Cemetery, in Jay, Florida. Pallbearers will be James Herring, Joel Wetzel, Wayne Hawthorne, James Moore, Chance Hawthorne and Jared McCall. Honorary Pallbearers will be her brothers, brothers-in-law, and her grandson; Kenny Wayne and Larry Hawthorne, Doyle Moore, Martin Kealer and Justin Carden She was loved by her "Precious" puppy, and she will be truly missed by everyone.
