Joan Herring

Joan S. Herring arrived to a joyous welcome from her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, February 19, 2017. Born on December 19, 1941, i n St. Louis, Missouri, she graduated from Emory University with a BA in chemistry, was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa, and was a member of the American Chemical Society and the Pi Alpha Chemical fraternity. Joan was a devoted wife, mother, avid tennis player, teacher, and ballroom dancer. She is survived by her loving husband, Chuck Herring, children Todd Ward and Susan (Chris) Wright, grandchildren Whitney Wright and Abigail Wright, as well as siblings Bill (Lynda) Williford and Bob (Elena) Williford. Funeral services will be held at Lely Presbyterian Church on Saturday, February 25, 2017, at 1:30 P.M., with visitation from 12:30 ­ 1:30. under the direction of Legacy Options. She will be laid to rest at Palm Royale Cemetery. She will be deeply missed by all who know and love her.
